The uses of vegetable protein additives and supplements in food are myriad.

As the global population continues to increase and diets in developing countries incorporate higher levels of protein, we are faced with an ever growing concern regarding access to sources of protein. Traditional sources have been mainly  animal-based (beef, pork, cheese, eggs, etc.). Not only is it unlikely to think that these sources will be able to accommodate our growing need for protein but we are also not effectively utilizing our resources in the production of these proteins.

It requires 100 times the water and almost 20 times the energy to produce 1 kg of beef protein vs. 1 kg of Plant Protein

Soy is the most dominant global oilseed and has been the major source for plant-derived protein. It is believed that one new soy food product is brought to market every day! A simple random scan of product ingredients on the shelves of any grocery store will make this abundantly clear.

With the introduction of BioExx’s patented extraction and protein separation process, another source of high quality plant protein for human consumption has been unlocked. With applications that range from sport-drink and protein additives to baby formula and protein food additives, the growth opportunities are endless. BioExx is a leader in field of plant protein extraction. Canola Protein Concentrates and Isolates are only now becoming commercially available to these massive global markets.
