BioExx will commercially launch Advantexx 70™ in Q1 2010.

BioExx Protein Concentrate Advantexx 70™ , made from Brassica juncea, is a new yellow-seeded canola quality non-GMO oilseed from the mustard family, which produces higher protein and reduced fibre.  In utilising our proprietary and patented technology for oil extraction and protein production,  Advantexx 70™ will be used in aqua feed, starter diets, and human food products including; bakery products, meat products and vegetarian food products.

The BioExx Juncea Protein Concentrate is one of the first protein products to take advantage of this oilseed.  This product is a new-generation 65-70% protein concentrate that results from a much gentler, lower temperature oil extraction than that of conventional canola crushers in Canada.  This low-temperature proprietary non-hexane extraction captures more of the original protein from the seed in a form that is more readily usable to livestock and humans.  Advantexx 70™ shows promise especially in starter diets and aqua feeds where the high protein content and quality combined with reduced anti-nutritive factors make it a superior Canola protein Concentrate. 

Protein
Advantexx 70™ will deliver 50% of the protein in soluble form, and the amino acid content of this product provides a good balance of essential amino acids, including lysine and methionine.  The BioExx Juncea Protein Concentrate has a relatively high bulk density resulting in less volume required in shipping and transportation.

Anti-nutritional Factors (ANFs)
Low ANFs suggest there is good opportunity for use of Advantexx 70™ in aqua rations as well as livestock starter diets.  The total Glucosinolate concentration is very low, as is sinapine, phytic acid  and erucic acid.
